The engine uses a twin-turbocharged 3.3 liter V6 or a turbocharged 2.0 liter with a four-cylinder. The all-wheel-drive system will be optional for this model, and all of them are coming with an eight-speed automatic transmission. With luxurious features, GV70 will quickly be a valuable player in the SUV market.

What’s New for 2022 Genesis GV70?

This series will be the all-new model for this brand. It has almost the same design and features as the siblings, the GV80 SUV. The price comes with at least two choices, the 2.0T engine that costs around $42,000 and the 3.3T, whose cost estimation is $47,000.

There is no exact information yet on features and how many trim levels that car has. Yet, this series might come with the twin-turbo V6 engine or the turbo-four engine. This results in decent fuel economy and peppy acceleration.

Engine Specs

We already know the sports sedan’s mechanical bits that share the same series, the G70 sedan. They will also have the same engine performance features, which means a 252 horsepower turbocharged with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and 365 horsepower with twin-turbocharged V6. If you choose the manual transmission, it comes with the G70 turbo four.

While the 2022 Genesis GV70 will stick to an eight-speed automatic as its standard equipment, the all-wheel-drive system might come as a standard feature, and the rear-wheel-drive might come as the base model.

Interior of 2022 Genesis GV70

The interior design uses the Recaro seats in the front; it also uses the roll cage at the back. The seats themselves are used for the prototype models. It is installed before the rear seats are added. Yet, as the premium SUV, they might not use the Recaro seats. It may come as an option, but not for the standard features. The roll cage is the same; it will not be added for mass production.

The premium materials are everywhere. From the dashboard, they use the same material as the GV80. That series covers the dash with leather added with infotainment screening sitting on the top of the dashboard. The AC vents are thin; it separates the lower section of the dashboard from the upper section.

Drivers may find very few switches, buttons, and knobs. But there are two control panels, one of them to control the thermostat, and another panel controls the infotainment system. As the Genesis model, the GV70 has well-appointed and comfortable seats, like other Genesis series.

2022 Genesis GV70 Price

The price that we have above is still the estimation. The 2022 Genesis GV70 has not finished its testing phase for this series of SUVs.

The price is expected to be close with its sedan sibling, the G70, which comes with a price of around $35,895. It is the price for rear-wheel drive. And for the all-wheel-drive system costs around $37,895.

By having those features, the base 2.0-liter model will cost around $40,000, while the twin-turbo V6 will cost around $45,000.

Safety and Warranty Coverage

This Genesis brand gives drivers warranty coverage that is longer than other premium automakers. The powertrain warranty will be covered for 100,000 miles or 10 years, while the complimentary scheduled maintenance will be covered for 36,000 miles or three years. And for the limited warranty of Genesis GV70 will be covered for 60,000 miles or 5 years.

While their safety features include adaptive cruise control, they also have lane-keeping assist with lane departure warnings. The last feature they have is automated emergency braking that can detect pedestrians.

In recent years, genesis comes from Hyundai; it can compete with the European market from its premium luxury SUV.
