The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt SUV is so far coming to live through its silhouette and rendered pictures from unofficial sources. Chevrolet indeed shared a video of the upcoming Bolt SUV.
Production is still expected in summer 2021, which we may expect the cars to go on the road in late 2021 or early 2022. Some options may include a fresh Super Cruise model and battery platform from the GM’s BEV2 electric vehicle.
So, what things do we know so far about this car? In this article, we will give you a more detailed description of the newest Bolt SUV, which the production has not started yet.
Back then, we all know the Bolt EV. This car is getting a remake called the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV. There would be a regular Bolt and a taller Bolt EUV coming in 2022.
The EUV (Electric Utility Vehicle) offers a hands-free driver assistant system called the GM’s Super Cruise. The methods themselves were adopted by Cadillac earlier.
Since the Bolt will be in the electric crossover segment, this car will be in the same class for competition with Tesla’s Autopilot suite and Tesla Model Y.
According to the company, this car was planned to be delivered in the 2021’s summer. The pandemic makes things should be postponed.
Judging from its silhouette, the EUV features a sleeker look than the hatchback of Bolt. Also, compared to the 2020 Bolt, the new car seems much cleaner in many ways. It may be caused by the flat roofline and arch-shaped head over the front seats.
These features create a more distinctive look compared to the conventional Bolt we currently see on the road. Due to the new model’s silhouette, the current Bolt appears a bit awkward and stubby somehow.
2022 Chevrolet Bolt SUV Exterior & Interior Design
The most noticeable changes would be on the interior built and exterior touches. A reliable source said the outer part gets the most distinctive look, from slimmer headlights to a new front fascia.
Another thing that might be notable about this new Bolt SUV is the broader and longer design that replaces the old maligned front seats. The car also comes with a sportier look steering wheel and a cleaned-up look on its instrument panel.
The new one would come with buttons if the old Bolt were equipped with a traditional shift lever to control the infotainment and climate switch. It makes a more ergonomic control for the screen while the physical buttons allow easier control on the other hand.
The presence of those new buttons may affect the position of hazard light buttons. Still, the ample space for the infotainment screen makes this car enjoyable.
Upgrades on its interior also include soft-touch materials and a stitched look on the doors and upper dash – those changes make a massive difference since the first sight. Checking out the Bolt EUV, the cockpit will be a hundred percent different than its brother. Other than that, the second row will appear bigger since the car is overall bigger.
This car will come with a new sensor array and camera to support the self-driving effort on the safety features. Since this car will compete in the electric crossover segment, a fast charge connector will be another upgrade that comes with this car.
2022 Chevy Bolt SUV Price & Release Date
The 2020 Bolt SUV, as has been explained earlier, is still not in production yet. Thus, we don’t have the exact number for its price.
However, the current Bolt is offered from $37,492. Since the newest version comes in a more significant body and more sophisticated features (according to the company), we may expect a little higher number than the current model.
We expect this Electric Chevy Bolt EUV/ SUV to hit the market in late 2021, finger cross.
It is considered expensive, especially if the body design won’t adopt an aero style. Still, we don’t have a word for the detail since the teaser only shows a silhouette of a taller current Bolt.
We don’t have much to say about this car since all we know is only the silhouette. Still, a shape can tell anything, which we’ve tried to break down below.
Even though you may consider the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt SUV wouldn’t be the most remarkable car in the electric crossover segment, this car is worth waiting, though.
